One of the favorite sites of marketeers seems to be clickbank.com. There are thousands of ‘interesting ‘products with shiny pages shouting about how exactly you can train your dog or your child. Or of course; how to be a rich person very fast. Of course I would like to be a rich person very fast, so I occasionally try this stuff out, even only for kicks to see what crap someone writes and the psychology of why someone would buy that actually.

One of these books is the getgoogladsfree ’system’. This system promises you that you can, quite easily have your Google adwords ads running for free! Sounds amazing doesn’t it? Well it is quite amazing and that’s why it very probably does not work. Seems many people are desperate enough to buy systems that cannot work, probably because they have money trouble, enough of their jobs etc.

After reading the method, I had feelings like I had after reading the reverse funnel method. Another great method describing something that doesn’t work.

It is truly mindboggling why logic defying things keep interesting people into buying/believing this kind of system. I have seen and investigated systems like:

  • Forex autobot
  • Free Google Adwords (even making profit on your Google adwords with variations on the reverse funnel method)
  • Unlimited money with almost no work
  • etc…

They all sound very enticing and you really want to believe them as you want to strike it rich with some intelligent, automated scheme right?

Why can this kind of thing not work? Well that is very very simple;

Let’s assume it does work!

I can have my adwords for free. As everybody knows, when you have enough traffic, stuff sells. When you have enough (say infinite) traffic, you will have infinite sales, leads, clicks, etc. So having free adwords means infinite traffic (as close as you can come to it in reality) as you are not paying for high scoring adwords campaigns and a lot of people click on and convert on adsense.

So I have infinite traffic and I have infinite campaigns (he, they are free so why not start a billion of them?). The only Adsense campaigns that are showing up are mine in Google now, so i’m getting billions of impressions and hundreds of millions of clicks per month. Whatever I put on there, it is making me hundreds of millions of dollars. Right?

Few things are a bit off here; I see many different campaigns from different companies on adsense when I search. So maybe the guys buying this ebook are ‘focused’. That can happen. Would be very stupid if you have free adsense, but he. So I’m going to assume that all high paying niches with good CPL/CPA programs all have campaigns on top running by people who bought this book. Not true… Strange?

So what’s up then? What’s up is exactly most of the ‘legit’ programs have; you have a ’slight chance’ to break even. You have a huge chance of losing a lot of money. That’s it. And whether you follow the book to the letter or not; the result stays the same; you lose a lot of money or break even ; if you would be making a profit, you would be a millionaire in a few weeks and a billionaire in a few months. You’re not, the writer is not, so it doesn’t work (he says he is worth 80 million $ but well; it’s the internet; I can say I’m a cyborg from Uranus). Ofcourse for some people (even for him though I doubt it; why write it down and not put your energy in multiplying what you are doing by hiring staff and so forth) it might work a bit, if you know how to do our arbitrage well, but the margins will be incredibly low and it really is quite a bit of work which does need a substantial upfront investment.

Although this I would not call this a ’scam’ per-se, it is highly misleading as nothing is really for ‘free’, it is just, in very optimal cases, a break even thing, which is something completely different than free as every person with some economic sense will tell you.

However it seems interesting that people buy this kind of of stuff and that they actually try it out, losing quite a bit of money in the process. Just for fun I am thinking of promoting this kind of product (maybe not this one) to see how many people would actually buy it and how many would ask for a refund. My feeling is that most people don’t ask for a refund, even when they ‘feel’ scammed. I think, if you really don’t think the product is what it says that it is, you should ask your $ back.
