As my readers know, I have been making money online for a long time. Well, online usually meant mixing offline with online. Visiting (boring) clients, talking to people in person (which I hate), giving presentations (which I hate even more). And then the work usually would move to online; getting outsourcing for the project set up, talking to the client via mail from then on (if I could help it) etc.
But that is not really making money online. For me making money online is a total process of making every cent you earn in a ‘project’ or company online; no offline things involved. This means;
For me personally it actually means zero facetime, not even that horrible invention called Skype.
In forums, the common feeling is that you should never partner with someone you have never met, because you cannot trust people you have never met. Personally, I believe this to be very much untrue.
Why do you even need a partner? Any possible partnership is possible; providing money, providing skills/services, providing equipment etc. A partner is to fill a spot in your company you cannot fill (alone).
2007 is almost over. This year was a great year for the free hosting market (read my earlier post about that here; mostly outdated information!); thousands of new freehosts saw the light and most of them went into the blackness of going broke in the same year. So what happened? Why did so many people start and stop with this business of freehosting and is it, as so many people in forums tell us, really dead?
Read on to see these questions answered. And I’ll tell you how can make a lot of money with free hosting here and now too.
Exactly a year ago I was introduced to the concept of web proxies. Well, the concept was not new; I know what proxies and what they do, but I wasn’t aware that people were actually making web proxies to make money.
A proxy like this, is used by users around the world to browse websites anonymously from their office, school or home. Usually they do this to hide their ip address or to be able to browse sites which are blocked by firewalls and so on.
On many webmaster and entrepreneur forums, people are often asking about million dollar ideas. Everyone is looking for that golden tip of money making, rocketing them into life-long wealth. Ofcourse, there are such ideas, like this one. But that particular idea is used every time the get-rich-quick-webmasters are getting together on a forum; needless to say, it won’t work for you! So what will?
Yesterday I decided to write something about running or working in different kinds of technical jobs. Using my experiences (good & bad), I tried to give a view on the kind of jobs and skills required to fit in the kind of companies I ran and run. Hopefully it is interesting for people when finding a business to run or job to fill.
This is the second part of ‘my story’.
As you can read here, I have been trying many different businesses. Did I like them all? No, not really. So how can you pick a business you are going to like without trying that all like I did. I’ll try to sketch my experiences, so maybe you can decide faster and more accurate on what you are going to like.
I bet none of the internet web-based get-rich-quick folks would like to hear this, but something we have learned by runnning many companies and talking to people running different kind of businesses; you can make any business succeed as long as you can hold out for three years.
